Katherine Clark got back to her home on the 3000 block of Timber Lane in the Town of Verona sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. yesterday. Normally the family's two dogs Boomer and Tucker meet her at the door.

" They hear the car pull in and they usually come up to the door to greet me, " says Clark.

But yesterday Boomer was alone. Katherine assumed Tucker, a Labradoodle, stayed outside. He loved playing on the family's close to two acre backyard.

" He didn't show up so I started calling for him and looking for him and he didn't respond to any calls. So, I put on my rain coat and came out into the yard to look for him. "

Katherine checked the backyard from her deck. She didn't see anything so she headed down stairs.

" As I was coming down the steps I saw him, " says Clark. " I was so surprised. I was like what are you doing Tucker? I thought did he fall? What has happened to him? As soon as I touched him I could tell he was dead. "

She called her husband Ken at work and told him the bad news.

" It was a little unbelievable and I asked her to repeat it two or three times, " says Ken. " I was fairly confident from what she was describing that this was not an accident. "

According to Ken there was an entry wound and later on their veterinarian discovered an exit wound.

Since the bullet went through Tucker it may still be on the Clark's property and big clue could be under their feet.

Last night Tucker was laid to rest in the family's backyard. But they say they won't rest until they know who pulled the trigger.

The Clark's have filed a report with the Dane County Sheriff's Department. They're asking anyone who may have heard or seen anything to call the DCSD.
