From the Fitchburg Police Department:
On October 2, 2012 at approximately 1:30am, a City of Fitchburg Police officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 4900 block of Verona Rd.
The vehicle was being driven by ALVIN TORRY, a 31-year-old Fitchburg resident.
During the course of the traffic stop, officers arrested Alvin due to a child support warrant.
A search of Alvin’s vehicle was also conducted, due to the odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle.
Officers subsequently located marijuana in the vehicle, as well as a loaded 9mm handgun.
Alvin was booked into the Dane County Jail on charges of: Felon in possession of a Firearm, Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana, and the child support warrant.
