Details:
A 19-year-old Fitchburg man was knocked unconscious after being attacked in the 400 block of W. Gorham St. early Sunday morning.
Witnesses told responding officers the victim was pushed into a light pole by a stranger who said something like: “Why did you touch my car?"
The victim fell to the ground and was kicked by two to three men.
All fled in a silver Toyota van, which was also occupied by two college aged women.
The victim regained consciousness at the scene and was transported to a hospital where he was treated for head injuries. Witnesses said he had not touched the getaway van prior to the assault.
