UPDATED: Beloit homicide victim identity made public

Updated Monday July 21, 2014 --- 8:30 a.m.

BELOIT, Wis.--- Beloit police have released the victim's name from Sunday's homicide.

Police say Jennifer Falcon was found in a road. She had been shot. The 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Beloit Police Dept. at 364-6801 or Beloit Area Crime Stoppers at 362-7463.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., City of Beloit police officers were sent to the area of Woodard and White in the City of Beloit regarding a report of a person down in the roadway.

Upon arriving, officers found a female victim in the roadway that had suffered a gunshot wound. Beloit Fire Department medical personnel responded and transported the victim to Mercy Hospital in Janesville. The 44-year-old female from Beloit was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim has been identified and appropriate notifications are pending.
