On 08-01-2012 at 10:09 P.M. Officer Benjamin Biddick stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Glen St. and Avon St. which had been observed by officers leaving the scene of a physical disturbance in the 300 block of McKinley St.
During his contact with the operator of the vehicle, Biddick noticed a strong odor of intoxicants, delayed response to his questions, and poor balance. The operator identified as Ian J. Harris age 25, of Janesville admitted to drinking but refused to do standardized field sobriety tests. Results of a mandatory blood draw are pending. Harris had a revoked driving status at the time of the stop.
Harris was taken into custody on a charge of OWI 6th offense. He was also charged with disorderly conduct for his role in the disturbance on McKinley St. Harris is being held at the Rock County Jail on a probation hold.
