Janesville police search for robbery suspect

Janesville police are searching for a suspect after a man armed with a knife robbed a convenience store Thursday night.

According to police, the suspect entered the Stop-n-Go on the 1600 block of E. Racine St. at 11:37. He showed a knife and demanded the clerk give him money. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

The robber is described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a black nylon jacket and black jeans.
