UPDATED Tuesday, May 15, 2012 --- 5:45 p.m.

From the Janesville Police Department:

On 5-15-12 at 4:13 P.M. officers from the Janesville Police Department and a Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation/Parole Agent were sent to the Super 8 Motel to look for Leonard C. Matson w/m 1-13-71 who was wanted for domestic violence related charges in Rock County as well as a probation warrant for absconding.

Matson is on probation for the 2000 Burglary and Attempted Abduction of a seven year old girl in Janesville.

Information received indicated Matson was a registered guest at the motel. Matson was located in room 106 and was taken into custody without incident.

Matson was held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

On May 14, 2012 the Janesville Police Department was alerted by the Rock Co. Sheriff’s Department that Leonard C. Matson (M/W 01-13-71) was wanted through their department for Disorderly Conduct / Domestic Violence.

He is also wanted for a Probation Violation for Absconding.

He is on probation for the 2000 Burglary and Attempted Abduction of a seven year old girl. Matson was last seen in the Janesville area wearing a grey striped polo shirt and blue jeans.
