Madison Metro driver taken to hospital after beating

Madison Police say a Metro driver was taken to the hospital and treated for head injuries after being beaten by two bus passengers.

The incident happened Wednesday around 6:10 p.m. at the East Transfer Point.

One passenger threatened the driver as the bus was leaving the Transfer Point. The driver stopped the bus.

Witnesses say the driver and two young men got off the bus and there was a fight. The driver was reportedly knocked to the ground and hit.

The two passengers are still on the loose.

Police describe them as:

1: Male, black, teens, 5'11", slender to medium build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, baggy pants and a hat.

2: Male, black, teens, 6', 220 pounds, medium length afro style hair, wearing a light top and dark pants.
