Madison Police Believe Two Muggings In Downtown Madison Are Related

Madison police believe two muggings in downtown Madison early Saturday morning are related.

Suspect(s):
Male, black, 25-29 years old, 5'10" to 5'11", slender build, hair worn in dreads; wearing a v-neck white t-shirt.

Male, black, 25-29 years old, 6' to 6'1", medium build; wearing a gray vest over a white t-shirt, and a black hat.

Victim:
Male, age 20, Madison

Details:
A 20-year-old UW-Madison student was mugged in the 200 block of Langdon St. early Saturday morning; just minutes after a similar robbery in the same area (see below).

The victim said he was attacked by two men.

During the crime he was pinned against a parked car while one mugger grabbed at his throat.

The criminals demanded and were given money. Investigators believe this crime, and the one reported immediately prior, may have been committed by the same perpetrators.

Details:
A 20-year-old UW-Madison student was mugged early Saturday morning while walking in the 200 block of Langdon St.

The victim said three men emerged from a dark alley, demanded money, and knocked him to the ground. He believes he may also have been punched.

The robbers fled with the victim's wallet and left him with a bloody face.
