Madison Police are investigating several car break-ins recently reported in the South District.
In all cases, windows were broken , and the stolen property had been visible to the thief or thieves.
Here are the descriptions of each incident from the MPD:
A 22-year old man, who had parked in the 1100 block of Bowen Ct., reported his laptop computer stolen from his car last Sunday morning.
Around the same time, a 23-year old, who had parked in the 400 block of S. Mills St., lost his backpack containing school binders.
A third victim, a 22-year old man, reported his backpack was also stolen after someone shattered his car's window last Friday morning. He had also been parked on Bowen Ct.
Police urge citizens not to leave property in plain view in their parked cars.
