UPDATE: Madison Police arrest suspected gas station robber

UPDATED Monday, December 16, 2013 --- 12:22 p.m.

Madison Police arrested a man on Sunday who is suspected in an August armed robbery at a PDQ.

The robbery happened August 19th at the PDQ at 1434 Northport Dr.

An officer spotted the suspect Sunday afternoon in a parking lot in the 800 block of Troy Dr.

Police arrested 30-year-old Hozia Newell after a traffic stop.

Newell was arrested for armed robbery and intimidating a victim. Police say he threatened to kill a clerk before getting away with cash and cigarettes during the robbery.

Madison Police are searching for a man who robbed a PDQ on the city's north side.

It happened just before 1:00 a.m. Monday at the store at 1434 Northport Dr.

The suspect entered and demanded money. He implied he had a weapon, but the clerk did not see one.

The suspect left the store with and undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

Police describe the suspect as: Black male, 20's, 5'10-5'11, medium build, with short braids. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants.
