Madison Police say officers have arrested a man suspected of robbing two Anchor Banks.
One robbery happened Nov. 25th at the Cottage Grove Rd. branch.
The next day, a Madison officer spotted a Honda CRV parked near a residence in the 5000 block of Camden Road. It looked similar to a getaway vehicle used in the robbery.
The next day, detectives from Madison, Monona and Fitchburg spoke with a man at the home. All three departments were investigating recent bank robberies.
42-year-old Jason Yapp was taken into custody on a parole hold.
Madison and Monona Police are asking for Yapp to be charged with two counts of Robbery of Financial Institution.
Police say along with the Cottage Grove Rd. robbery, Yapp is a suspect in the Nov. 18th robbery of another Anchor Bank branch at 6501 Monona Dr.

Madison Police are looking for a man who robbed an Anchor Bank Monday afternoon.
The robbery happened at the 216 Cottage Grove Rd. location around 2:00 p.m.
The man passed a note and got away with cash.
He was seen driving away in a white, 4 door SUV with a spare tire holder on the back. It was possibly a Honda CRV.
Police describe the robber as: Male, white, 40-50 years old, 170 lbs., 6', wearing a black hoodie, stocking cap, sun glasses and baggie blue jeans.
