UW-Madison Police officials say a Madison man has been arrested for his alleged 3rd offense OWI after crashing into a pole and running off.

A motorist flagged down an officer around 2:30 Tuesday morning to tell him about the hit and run crash. The officer found that a vehicle had hit a light pole at the intersection of Fish Hatchery Rd. and South Park St.

The vehicle was there, but the driver was no where to be found.

Police were able to get a description of the driver and another officer found the man walking along Brooks St.

44-year-old Sean Lee was arrested for 3rd offense OWI and failure to notify police of an accident.

Officers say his preliminary blood alcohol content was .11.
