Madison teen arrested for theft from unlocked cars

Madison Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly stealing from unlocked vehicles.

A concerned citizen called officers after seeing three teens with flashlights entering unlocked cars parked in the 3500 block of Cherry St. early Sunday morning.

On officer spotted a suspect inside a car in the 3700 block of Brigham Ave. The young man took off running but was caught.

Police are working on identifying his two alleged accomplices.

A backpack with stolen items inside was found behind a Brigham Ave. home.
