Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western
District of Wisconsin, announced that Dwight Horton, 24, Madison, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb to 37 months in prison for distributing heroin. Horton pleaded guilty to this charge on November 8, 2011.

Between September 2010 and April 2011, an individual cooperating with law enforcement bought heroin from Horton and his co-conspirator, John Davis, at different locations in Dane County. On December 19, 2011, Davis was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in the case.

The charges against Horton and Davis were the result of an investigation
conducted by the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul W. Connell.
