A Webb Ave. resident was taken to a hospital Friday night after being smashed in the head with a large bolt cutter. The victim said the suspect had swung it at him "like a baseball bat." The battery took place outside the victim's apartment. He came under attack after asking the suspect to return a key to the residence. The victim had allowed the man, a casual acquaintance, to stay with him a few nights because the suspect is homeless. The 43-year old was kicking his house guest out because he believed the man was stealing from him. The suspect has not been located. The victim needed stitches to close a head wound.
