Madison Police arrested a man Sunday for allegedly driving drunk with a woman on the hood of his car. The woman was a friend trying to stop the man from driving.

The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Swanton Rd.

A witness estimated the car reached 40 mph before the woman fell off. Other drivers were swerving and braking hard to avoid a crash with the suspect vehicle.

After the woman fell off, the driver went back to the parking lot where the incident began.

The driver, 22-year-old Karston Parduhn, reportedly admitted to police he had a lot to drink before getting behind the wheel.

He was arrested for drunken driving and 2nd degree reckless endangerment.
