Madison Police arrested a Nashville man early Wednesday morning after he allegedly broke into a home. He reportedly told police he thought the house belonged to his friends.
Residents of the Breese Terrance home woke up around 3:50 a.m. to the sounds of breaking glass.
Police arrived and spotted a man in the basement taking a bottle of alcohol from a refrigerator. He apparently got in by breaking a window.
The 22-year-old man said he was in Madison visiting friends, but they were separated while out celebrating. He thought he was in their home.
The man was arrested for trespass and damage to property.
