Madison Police cited a driver for OWI after he allegedly drove the wrong way on the beltline Sunday morning.

An officer spotted a car driving east in the westbound lanes just before 2:00 a.m.

He activated his squad lights and drove into the path of the oncoming car, hoping the driver would stop.

The driver didn't, and the officer swerved out of the way to avoid a crash.

The officer then pulled the driver over.

28-year-old Pritesh Talvanker was cited for drunken driving and driving against traffic.
