The Dane County deputies arrested a Middleton man after he allegedly pointed a gun at another driver during a road rage incident.
According to a release from the Dane County Sheriff's office, a 911 call came in shortly after 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon from a woman driving on Highway 18/151. She reported that a black Subaru had been tailgating and swerving towards her car, officials said. At one point, according to deputies, the Subaru pulled along the passenger side of her vehicle and the driver pointed a handgun directly at her.
Deputies responded immediately and were able to find the Subaru. With the help of Verona Police, the driver and passenger of the Subaru were interviewed and the car was searched.
Authorities say .40 caliber handgun was found in the vehicle. Twenty-five-year-old Nathan Pike was then arrested for First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Disorderly Conduct While Armed and Reckless Driving. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
