Milton Police search for stolen balloon

Milton Police are searching for a stolen advertising balloon that was taken from the Parker YMCA grounds.

Officers believe the theft happened sometime between 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 15th and 7:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16th.

The balloon was fastened to the ground by cables, which were cut and left on scene.

The balloon is 24 feet tall and approximately 12 feet wide, and is yellow, red, blue, orange and green in color.

The balloon had “Grand Opening” affixed to the top yellow part of the balloon, and has the company name “Big Sky”, with a telephone number of “1-800-769-8000” on the black bottom portion.

A 1hp electric motor and light that were attached to the balloon were also stolen.

The balloon is estimated to be worth $6,000.

Anyone with information should call Milton Police at 757-2244 or Janesville Area Crimestoppers at 756-3636. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text to CRIMES (274637), then enter JACS, plus your message.

People that come forward with information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for this crime are eligible for a cash reward.
