Milton Police search for suspect in attempted burglary

Milton Police are searching for a man after an attempted burglary Tuesday afternoon.

A homeowner called police around 3:46 that afternoon after returning home and seeing a stranger come out of his back door. The homeowner lives in the 300 block of College Street.

The homeowner tried to stop the man, but he rode away on his bike.

Police believe the suspect fled after seeing someone return home. Nothing appears to be missing.

Milton Police describe the suspect as: male, white, possibly high school age, wearing blue jeans, black shirt, and black hat. He is described as about 5’9”, average to thin build. The subject fled the area on a BMX type bicycle, possibly dark blue in color. He fled the area north on Rogers Street and west on E. Madison Avenue.
