Reedsburg Police arrest woman for OWI, possession of heroin

Reedsburg Police arrested a 32-year-old LaValle woman Wednesday afternoon as she was allegedly preparing to inject heroin.

Offenders responded to a parking lot at Viking Drive E. Main Street for a report of a suspicious woman in a vehicle.

Police arrived and found Jamie Sammons. Officers say she was preparing a needle when they found her. After a search, police say they also found several fentanyl patches attached to her body.

Sammons was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance – 3rd Offense. Sammons was taken to jail where she was held on the OWI charge as well as possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
