VIDEO REPORT: The 30th Anniversary Of The Murder Of Donna Mraz

UPDATED Monday, July 2, 2012--5:20p.m.
MADISON--Thirty years later and the brutal murder of a U-W student still remains unsolved.

Back in 1982 U-W Madison student Donna Mraz was killed shortly after midnight on July 2nd.The crime happened right near Camp Randall stadium, by what is now Gate four.

Police describe it as a brutal murder and say she died from multiple stab wounds.

No arrests were ever made in the case and at this point police say they don't have any new leads on the murder, though they say it is still an open investigation. They're reaching out to the public today in hopes that somebody will have additional information that can help them out. "I can't speculate as to whether it'll get solved or not," said Sgt. Aaron Chapin, of the U-W Police Department. "So the biggest thing is we're relying on, maybe there's somebody out there who does have information that our department doesn't have at this point that could help us."

Sergeant Chapin said the department is still in contact with Donna's family, trying to give them updates on the status of the investigation.

Again, they are searching for new sources of information to help close the case, so if you know something that you think might be relevant to this case, they're asking that you contact either the U-W police department or Crime Stoppers.
