Suspect(s):
black male, 30-40 yrs old, 5'6"-5'8", stocky build, wearing white t-shirt and blue shorts

Victim:
22 yr old male, no injuries

Details:
Suspect approached the victim and exchanged words with him.

Suspect then displayed a black handgun and fired one time into the ground near victim's feet.

Both suspect and victim fled the area.

Victim was not injured. Investigation continuing.

Information from Madison Police Department:

Police responded to a report of shots fired on Betty's Lane in Madison on Saturday evening.

The suspect is at large. It does not appear to be a random act. The community is not in danger.

The investigation is ongoing.

A witness tells NBC15: "I want to be safe in Wisconsin again. I want it back the way it was when I moved here."
