On 08-02-12 at approximately 12:25 AM, the Fitchburg Police Department responded to a report of a strong armed robbery which occurred in the 2100 block of Post Rd. The victim was walking in this area when two male suspects approached. The males requested the bag in which the victim was carrying. A short struggle occurred over the bag between the victim and the suspects. During this struggle, the suspects were able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot.
The two suspects are described as male blacks, approximately 5’10’’ with a medium build and short hair. One of the suspects was wearing a white T-shirt and the other suspect was wearing a darker colored shirt.
There were no injuries sustained in this incident and no arrests have been made.
The Fitchburg Police were assisted by the Madison Police Department’s K-9 unit.
