Press Release from Brodhead Police:
Brodhead Police and Green Co. Sheriff's Deputies continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred shortly after 2 am on January 17, 2013 at M&J's Tavern located at 1117 W. 2nd Avenue.
Just after 2 a.m. An employee of the tavern reported to Brodhead Police that the tavern was robbed shortly after closing time by a male armed with a handgun. The suspected fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The investigation led to the arrest of 55-year-old Richard W. Parot of W989 Taylor Trail, Brodhead, WI. Parot was arrested just before 9 a.m. Near his rural Brodhead home. He was transported to the Green County Jail on charges of robbery and victim intimidation.
