Three Teens Linked To Vandalism Spree In Sun Prairie

From the Sun Prairie Police Department:

The Sun Prairie Police Department took several reports of damage to property between April 07, 2012 and April 30, 2012 involving rocks being thrown at residential and commercial windows in the north central part of the city. One incident involved rocks being thrown at a Sun Prairie squad car causing approximately $750 in damage.

During the course of the investigation the following juveniles were identified as being responsible;

14 yo male from Sun Prairie
15 yo male from Sun Prairie
15 yo male from Sun Prairie

The juveniles will be referred to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office for Criminal Damage to Property as a result of their actions during 7 separate incidents totaling approximately $3000 in damage.

Residents with unreported damage involving broken windows during the above time frame are encouraged to report them to the Sun Prairie Police Department at 608-837-7336. Please make reference to Case #12-6081.

    Brilliant kids. Throwing rocks is one thing, but at a squad car?!?? (neither of which I condone, btw) Evidently they don't know the camera in the squad car is always recording.

    I would recommend a jail time of about 6 months, and recommend their parents be required to attend a class on being responsible for your own children.
