UW Athletics sign stolen from Camp Randall

UW-Madison Police are investigating after a UW Football Offices sign was stolen from Camp Randall.

Police say four people stole the large sign on Sunday, January 19th around 3:15 a.m.

The sign measures 12 feet by 2 feet, and is so large that it took all four suspects (two men and two women) to carry it out.

Construction crews had taken the sign down from the wall to do some work. It was leaning on a concrete wall inside Camp Randall when the theft occurred.

The estimated value of the sign is $500. While it is believed it was taken as part of a prank, UW Athletics wants the sign back.

Anyone with any information about the crime or the sign should call the UW-Madison Police Department at (608) 264-COPS.
