From the UW-Madison Police Department:
Madison, Wisconsin –On October 16th, 2012, University Police Officers located marijuana plants being grown in the Biochemistry Building on the UW–Madison Campus.
Officers conducted an investigation and determined that Christopher Schwartz, a researcher on campus, was responsible for the plants.
Detectives from UWPD spoke with Schwartz and learned that there was additional evidence of marijuana production and use at his residence of the West side of the City of Madison.
Schwartz was booked into the Dane County Jail for one felony count of Manufacturing/Delivering THC.
Charges are being requested from the Dane County DA’s Office. This investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
