Woman Robbed In Front Of Madison PDQ

Address: 1625 Stoughton Rd. (PDQ)

Suspect: Black male late teens to early 20's, 6'0" heavier build with a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and grey sweat pants.

Victim: 59 year old female from LaCrosse, WI

Details:Victim was walking into the PDQ when suspect who was loitering nearby approached her and grabbed her purse off her arm. There was a short struggle in which she was dragged several feet. She then released the purse and the suspect fled. The suspect then was seen getting into a nearby waiting van with a getaway driver that was parked on Mendota St.

The van was described as green in color with gold accents and a WI registration plate similar to 957 BUR. It turns out that this is a stolen license plate out of Milwaukee WI.

The victim's purse was recovered.

If anyone in the area recalls seeing anything that may assist in solving this crime, please call the MPD or Crimestoppers.

This case also brings to mind a reminder of situational awareness. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times and be prepared to take evasive action if needed.
