Madison, WI. February 1, 2013 – At 10:55 am, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Cambridge Fire and EMS and Deer-Grove EMS, responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 12/18 at Highway 73 in the town of Christiana.
A Toyota Camry operated by Tina Lord, age 47 of Monona, was traveling westbound on Highway 12/18 when she crossed the centerline. An oncoming Dodge Grand Caravan and a Jeep Liberty both swerved to avoid being hit by Lord. The Dodge Caravan operated by Gary Ziball, age 54 of Cambridge, struck the rear of Lord’s Camry. The Jeep Liberty operated by Hasim Lusha, age 63 of Fort Atkinson, avoided the collision, but lost control and rolled his vehicle on the north side of the highway.
A passenger in Lord’s Camry, Lori Johnson, age 49 of Madison, was the only person transported by EMS to a local hospital. Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Tina Lord will be cited for Operating Left of Center. Highway 12/16 was shut down in both directions for approximately one hour.
