Authorities say a preist found dead over the weekend was recently questioned by police about the murders of two funeral home employees in Hudson two years ago.

Police in the Iron County community of Hurley say 31 year old Reverend Ryan Erickson was pronounced dead Sunday on the grounds of Saint Mary's Church in Hurley. The Catholic Dioceses of Superior is calling Erickson's death a suicide

The dioceses says Erickson had denied he was involved with the murders of a Hudson funeral home director, and an intern in 2002. The diocese says it just learned recently that Erickson was questioned about the deaths. Erickson spent time at churches in Hudson and Ladysmith before arriving in Hurley.
