There were some anxious moments this afternoon for some Monona Middle School Students.
Those living in the neighborhood around Winnequah Middle School saw fire trucks, police cars and ambulances converge on the school this afternoon. Monona Police tell us a 911 call came in about 2:45 Thursday afternoon, saying there were six students on a bus who were having difficulty breathing.
The six students were taken by ambulance to a Madison hospital for evaluation. It turns out they were part of a choir that had just performed at Monona Grove High School. It's believed they may have fell ill in the warm auditorium under the hot lights on the stage.
Monona firefighters say a check showed there were no air quality problems at the high school.
