A Wisconsin state senator was arrested for drunken driving Tuesday night.
Russ Decker is a democrat from the Wausau area.
He says he was arrested by Middleton Police about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
He was given a breathalyzer test and police charged him with driving while intoxicated. He was released Wednesday morning.
Decker says he made a terrible mistake, and accepts full responsibility.
A court appearance is scheduled for April 21.
