A candidate for the State's Attorney General's office is not seriously injured after his plane crashes over the weekend.
Late Saturday night. J.B. Van Hollen's single engine airplane crashed into a fence while attempting to land in Waunakee.
According to police, Van Hollen was coming in for a landing but ran out of runway. That's when he attempted to lift off again but couldn't.
The plane traveled about 500 feet before rolling into this fence.
Neither Van Hollen nor his passenger, a campaign assistant, were hurt.
