Marines Readjusting to Home Life

Marines learned all about the benefits of being back at home Friday, from members of Wisconsin's office of Veterans Affairs.

Golf Company spent roughly six months in Iraq. Members of the unite retunred last week.

Today, they learned about things like health care, education and training or loans to get them back to school, or back to work.

"Eventually I want to buy a house," says Golf Company Corporal Ryan Baudhuin. "Down the road I'll have opportunity with VA loans."

The department urges everyone to create a caring community for returning veterans through its welcome home program. The program involves local communities, civic organizations and businesses in providing help and services to new veterans.
