Fines Could Run High For Some Mifflin Partygoers

Police say they will hold Mifflin Street partygoers accountable much like they do every year.

Officers will look for violations like underage drinking and obnoxious behavior. Police say they will target a home, if something draws their attention to it, like excessive noise, property damage or alcohol sales.

Anyone picked up by police will go to the arrest processing center in the basement of the city–county building.

Here's a look at what some of those violations could cost unruly party–goers. Selling alcohol without a permit carries a fine of $660. Disorderly conduct carries $412.

Anyone who gives alcohol to someone underage could face a fine of $350. And, carrying that open container of alcohol in the street carries a fine of $288.
