An explosion at the Walnut Hollow Woodcraft Outlet shook the ground all over town. Authorities from several area fire departments and EMS crews were called in around 1:45 p.m.
The silo where the explosion happened holds sawdust and shavings that are often used as bedding for farmers.
Chief Weber of the Dodgeville Fire Department says it took about an hour to get the fire knocked down and there appears to only be minor damage to one other building at the location.
The business will remain open. Workers at the main complex were sent home but second-shift workers at the warehouse will report to work Thursday night.
The investigation is underway in to exactly what caused the explosion. One firefighter was injured on the scene. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Chief Weber says that facility is no stranger to fires at least two major fires have happened there in the past couple of years.
