Families Return to Scene of Fire

Video will be available shortly.

Families displaced by the Cottonville fire returned home today to see what's left.
People gathered at a local school to get passes. The passes get families into the burn area, which is still under controlled access.
Laura Ganster and her family learned firefighters saved their home of four years by using water from their pool. The Gansters lost a shed and some trees.
The mother of five also says she's proud of her husband, a firefighter in Big Flats who helped battle the flames.
Some of their friends were less fortunate, losing their home and a family pet.
Roxanne Kinne has lived in the area for about eight years. Kinne says it "had to have happened" for a reason, and she hopes to build a home "big enough for all of us."
Ganster, who is a friend of the Kinne family, says she hopes to get her friend selected for the program, Extreme Home Makeover.
She says, "I just hope they get some kind of help ... They really deserve it."
Firefighters contained the area early this morning but will remain on the scene to put out hot spots.
Officers also will spend tonight patrolling the area.
