In Beloit, police continue their search for a convicted felon who they say shot and wounded an intruder early Sunday morning.
The shooting reportedly took place on Middle Street just after 3:30 a.m.
Authorities say a 27-year-old man broke into a home and began fighting with several occupants. Reports indicate he was shot during the altercation, and is currently listed in stable condition at an area hospital.
Investigators believe 25-year-old Dramain Dumas is the shooter. He is currently at large, facing felony charges.
The victim, meanwhile, faces criminal trespass and battery charges.
Four children under the age of 12 were in the home at the time of the shooting. None of them were injured.
