The phrase every vote counts takes on a whole new meaning in one Wisconsin town.
That's because only one person is eligible to vote.
Randy Way lives within an 80–acre tract of land. The land was annexed last month from the Town of Oregon to the Village of Oregon.
Randy petitioned the town for a referendum. So on June 14 he and only he will vote on whether the village can annex the land.
"My understanding of the statute is that the people that are allowed to vote are the people have residences in the land being annexed and I'm the only one with a residence in the land being annexed.”
Randy is not saying why he petitioned for the referendum or which way he'll vote.
