Two more Wisconsin soldiers are on the list of those being honored during this Memorial Day weekend.

Joshua Michael Scott, 28, of Sun Prairie died Friday after sustaining injuries in a helicopter crash. The Department of Defense says he was one of two soldiers who died after the chopper was shot down over central Iraq.

NBC15 talked to Josh's mother and sister. They did not want to appear on air but say that Josh was proud to serve in the military, and had envisioned joining as early as age four.

He also leaves behind his own family, a wife and three children.

Scott graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1995 and then joined the army.

Scott was a member of the Army's 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Meanwhile, another fallen soldier hails from Madison. Corporal Mark Maida, 22, died Thursday after his Humvee hit a roadside bomb south of Baghdad.

He was a member of the Army's 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment based out of Fort Irwin, California.

He was a 2001 graduate of Madison Memorial High School. Maida joined the U.S. Army shortly after 9–11 and departed in January 2005 for a 12 to 14 month tour of duty.
