Frier to Stand Trial
One of two men accused of a three county crime spree will stand trial in Dane County next month.
Bennie Frier is charged with murder, kidnapping and sexual assault.
Police say Frier and his uncle Maurice Mason kidnapped a Nebraska woman and drove her to Wisconsin. They allegedly murdered her in the Town of Middleton.
Frier's trial is set to start July 18.
He's also facing charges of kidnapping in Juneau County, where he allegedly helped rob and kidnap a Mauston man leaving him tied up for several days in a shed.
Maurice Mason has already pleaded guilty to the murder of a Baraboo man during the same time period.
