16-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Punches Madison Officer in the Face

Incident Report from the Madison Police Department:

Incident Type: Battery

Incident Date: 10/03/2012 - 7:12 PM

Address: 3000 block Darbo Dr.

Arrested: Female, age 16, Madison
Suspect was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on tentative charges of Battery to a Police Officer, Resisting/Obstructing, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass.

Victim: Madison Police Officer

Details: A teenager grabbed the hair of a Madison Police Officer and punched her several times in the face as the officer tried to contact the suspect about an earlier dispute. The confrontation with the officer took place in the 3000 block of Darbo Dr. shortly before 8:00 p.m. last night. A 31-year old Janesville man observed the struggle and came to the officer's aid by tackling the suspect.

Earlier, around 7:15 p.m., the suspect had gone to a home in the 300 block of Rethke Ave. and created a disturbance while trying to pick a fight with a 14-year old girl.

    @ Avenge. Are you serious? I suppose you also think women should not have the right to vote, drive a car or have an opinion. When you are in trouble and a female officer comes to your aid, will you reject her help? Get with the times. And thank you to the gentleman who helped out. This 16-year-old better change her ways or her future is bleak.

    Did you get that? Someone had to bail out the female officer. Guess she couldn't handle a 16 year old by herself. Women have no business being police officers. They really need to fulfill their intended purpose by staying home, raising the kids, cooking, etc.
