More than 600 soldiers from Wisconsin's National Guard are preparing to be trained for overseas deployment.

The soldiers are members of the second Battalion, 127th Infantry, 32nd Infantry Brigade. They are expected to arrive at Camp Shelby Thursday to begin their training.

The Appleton–based battalion received mobilization orders on May seventh. The troops are expected to remain on active duty for about 18 months.
