Emergency crews were called to the Middleton office of Senator Russ Feingold late Monday morning, after a suspicious letter was delivered. That letter was sent from Massachusetts.
Inside the letter, Feingold staffers found a filled out survey. a check for a donation and a white powdery substance.
Middleton Police and Fire responded to the call, along with the Madison Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Unit
U.S. Capitol Police contacted the letter sender. They say he doesn't appear to be a threat to the Senator. Nonetheless, the powder is being tested.
