Madison police are investigating two recent robberies downtown.

In both cases, police say the male victims were walking alone between 2 and 3 a.m., when they were attacked. The victims report being punched and physically restrained while their money and belongings are stolen.

Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 608–266–6014. Callers can remain anonymous.

In the meantime, police advise anyone who needs to walk alone at night to be mindful of their surroundings.
