In what appears to be the largest security breach yet. Last week MasterCard announced more than 40 million credit card holders are at risk.

Now Wisconsin's attorney general says your information may have been compromised. Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager advises all MasterCard holders to thoroughly check through monthly credit card statements. If any unauthorized charges are found card holders should immediately contact the financial institution that issued the card.

Lautenschlager goes on to say the attorney general offices through out the country are working with the credit companies. She says she is also looking at laws to better protect consumers.

MasterCard says it has notified banks of specific card accounts that may have been compromised. Now it is up to the financial institutions to notify card holders.
