Assembly Passes Budget After Long Debate

After debating through the night, the Republican-controlled Wisconsin Assembly has approved its version of the state budget.

Hunting and fishing would cost more, property tax bills would
shrink slightly and public schools would get millions less than
what Democrats claim they need under the measure passed 56-to-40,
which now goes to the state Senate.
